General stores work and forklift driving

Our client based in Acacia Ridge have an immediate opening for a skilled Counterbalance forklift operator / Storeman. You will need the following:

• Current LF Licence – Counterbalance experience
• A minimum of 1-2 years of forklift driving & stores experience
• The ability to work within a Team environment
• Good verbal and literacy skills – to read instructions
• Flexible attitude
• Good attention to detail
• Full availability on weekdays, Monday to Friday
• 8am – 4pm with a possibility of 7am-3pm starts
• Flexibility of working hours to be determined
• Working with Steel an advantage

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

As a vital member of a busy team, you will be trained to be responsible in the following duties:

• Ensuring the integrity of inventory by meticulously inspecting incoming goods for damage and discrepancies
• Expertly unloading vehicles, opening packages, and handling contents with care.
• Efficiently utilizing computer systems to track item location and maintain a well-organized stock.
• Labelling goods with storage location details to uphold inventory organization.
• Contributing to customer satisfaction by accurately packing and dispatching orders.
• Assisting in inventory management through regular stock takes.
• Safely handling heavy pallets and goods using a forklift to ensure smooth warehouse operations.

Skills and Attributes:

• Holding a current Forklift License
• Must be literate in reading & writing
• Must have a willingness to learn
• Must have a good work ethic, great attitude a willingness to turn up on time
• Physically fit with the ability to lift
• Effective teamwork skills
• Good reading and writing skills for labels and understanding instructions
• Strong attention to detail
• Flexibility in handling various duties
• Reliability and willingness to work 5 days per week
• A safety-oriented approach to the workplace
• Working with steel preferred
• Must have full Australian Working Rights
