They are now seeking a dedicated SHEQ Advisor to join their team and support their safety compliance efforts.

Position Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate SHEQ Advisor to join this dynamic team based in Adelaide. In this key role, you will support the implementation and improvement of SHEQ programs across operational sites, working closely with the SHEQ initiatives. You will drive positive change and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the company’s workforce.

The SHEQ Advisor will provide overall support to the SHEQ Manager and leadership in the implementation, monitoring and governance of SHEQ programs, systems and processes for the contract.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of Health and Safety
  • Contribute to the development and execution of broader company strategies, initiatives, programs and leading Health and Safety practices
  • Assist the SHEQ Manager in the implementation of the Health and Safety management plans, emergency response and business continuity planning
  • Deliver on Quality Management throughout operations and projects
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatvies
  • Support operations to perform Contractor Health and Safety evaluations
  • Lead and manage ICAM and Serious Incident investigations
  • Ensure project readiness for external audits
  • Undertake reasonable travel intrastate and interstate as required
  • Contribute to H&S objectives
  • Provide high level of safety leadership and compliance to SHEQ procedures
  • Comply with all applicable health, safety and environmental laws, regulations and statutory obligations
  • Proactive use of the safety observation programs

Candidates will have at least Certificate IV in WHS, Lead Investigator training ICAM, Lead Auditor qualifiaction and a current driver’s licence.
