Problem Solving Skills

  1. What was the most considerable problem you have had to work with in your current role?  How did you handle it?  What measures did you take once you identified the problem?
  2. The signs of a problem are often clearer than its cause.  Tell me about a time when you are confident that you did address the cause of a problem.
  3. Describe a decision you have had to make that required you to be particularly reasonable and neutral.  To what degree did you r final decision differ from your initial view of the situation?  How typical was this of your usual approach when analysing issues or problems?
  4. Tell me about an especially challenging analytical problem that you’ve worked on.  How did you go about gathering the data you needed to solve the problem?
